Vintage Glass Silver Jubilee George V Commemorative Jar Biscuit Barrel c.1935

A wonderful collectors item, this glass jar with lid was made to commemorate the 25 years of King George V's reign.
The jar is pressed glass with different United Kingdom countries representative shields. The lid is designed to represent and look like the royal crown worn by the Royal.
The collectable jar would have been issued as a commemorative biscuit barrel for people of the time to fondly remember and celebrate the reign. Along the bottom reads "To commemorate the twenty fifth year of their Majesties' reign" and either side of one of the shields reads "1910" & "1935".
A wonderful collectors item which would look great as part of a glassware collection, a collection of Royal commemorations or as kitchenalia decor.
