A rare and highly desirable Rowntree’s confectionery shop display tin, produced for Rowntree’s Clear Gums, first introduced in 1893 and later replaced by the hugely successful Rowntree’s Fruit Gums.
This attractive tin features a hinged lid and is decorated with colourful fruit illustrations on this inside of the lid. The original printed graphics remain clear and vibrant, giving the piece strong visual impact and advertising charm.
As an early confectionery display tin, this item was intended for everyday commercial use in local shops, confectionery stores and grocers.
