Vintage 1960s Retro Canada Dry Green Picnic Cooler Box in Original Cardboard Box
Mid 20th Century c.1960
A highly collectable green picnic cooler manufactured by Coleman and co branded with Canada Dry.
The original cardboard box shows graphics and bold typography while the green painted cooler has a sturdy locking top latch and side handles.
This highly collectible piece brings together two mid-century brands: Coleman and Canada Dry. In the 1950s and 1960s, Canada Dry partnered with Coleman to offer heavy duty green metal coolers as a special mail in promotional item.
Families would collect bottle caps or mail in newspaper coupons to receive them which were then shipped directly to customers doors. They arrived in the cardboard box which were often thrown out or ruined by damp garages. Finding both intact makes this a rare, complete piece of advertising history.
A fantastic display piece, collectors item and storage box. A great item for collectors of antique advertising and mid century pieces. Perfect for a vintage car or camper for road trips!
Dimensions: 47cm x 32cm x Height 34cm
