Antique Wooden Painted French Boules / Bowls / Pétanque Set in Case c.1930

A great complete set of eight wooden boules, which have been handprinted, target ball and wire carrier.
Used in the mid to early part of the 20th century by family and friends as a lawn game, the set is kept compact in the wire travel storage case. The case has a carry handle and clasp buckle to securely keep it closed.
The set consists of eight balls, painted four different colours which would have been rolled along the ground. The winner is the person whose ball is the closest to the small wooden ball (cochonnet).
Perfect for collectors or used as a decorative piece within any interior. Would look great displayed in a games room.

Condition: Good useable order with age and use related wear as to be expected.
