This oak 19th century box features its original lock and working key, adding both charm and practicality. The simple yet elegant design showcases traditional joinery on its two hinged doors. Both doors showcase a carved religious cross. The storage box stands on a carved pedestal base with three legs.
Internally, the box is satin lined in a cream / ivory material. There is also a pull along curtain to the front, creating further character and charm.
Now thoughtfully restored and repurposed from likely a cutlery canteen, this stand is ideal as a decorative storage piece, hall table or occasional side cabinet. Its compact form and authentic patina make it a striking addition and conversation starter.
