A heavily carved turn of the century country house letter storage or posting box c.1900
The box features a hinged lid which has two slots and a lock (but no key), indicating this would have originally been used for letters or correspondence during the early 20th century.
The box features intricate carvings showing scrolling leaf and floral patterns.
Will be a great addition to any office desktop or entrance hall sideboard in the home - Great also for storing small household items such as jewellery, stationery objects or small trinkets.
