An antique wooden Bridge or Whist marker dating to circa 1930, cleverly designed in the form of a miniature barrel.
This tabletop piece would have been used in card games like Bridge or Whist to indicate the current trump suit or no trump status. Acting as a pencil holder too, it makes a practical and decorative accessory for card games. The rotating barrel section is mounted on a shaped base, which is clearly marked with the card suits and “No Trumps,” allowing players to easily indicate the current contract during play.
