An impressive Antique Mahogany Apothecary Chemist’s Dispensing Cabinet, a rare and highly decorative piece of shop-fitting furniture dating from the early part of the 20th century. 

This substantial cabinet features a pair of glazed display doors and a central mirrored door. Above the two glazed doors are attractive original Art Deco typography sign written advertising plinths, reflecting the elegance and craftsmanship associated with 1930s chemists and apothecary shops - This reads ' Dispensing Department '

Originally forming part of a shop chemists fittings, this surviving salvaged piece of furniture offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of pharmacy and retail display. The glazed compartments would have been used to showcase bottles, medicines, and pharmaceutical preparations, while the central mirror adds both practicality and visual appeal. This cabinet would now make the most wonderful display for any home or business. 

The cabinet displays beautiful period detailing throughout, with the warm mahogany tones, aged patina, and signs of historical use enhancing its authenticity and character.

Condition - With wear consistent with age. Mirror in good orderwith no chips or cracks. Glass doors in good order with no chips or cracks. The cabinet has had a later added ply back that has some loss around the bottom. Glass shelves inside are later replacements. Original brass handles in good working order to all sections (two per section). This cabinet is very heavy and will need to be placed and secured against & to a wall.
