This wonderful piece of Victorian shop equipment would originally have been used in a traditional grocer's or coffee merchant's shop to store and dispense coffee beans.
The dispenser is in full working order, making it a particularly appealing example of this fascinating piece of antique retail equipment. Comes with the original small green coffee bean catching cup that attaches neatly to the side. The cup is unclipped and placed under the machine to catch the dispensed beans. A glass viewing panel allows users and shop merchants to see how many beans are left in the machine so know when and when not to use it.
Displaying in this recently cleaned and polished order with a green painted body with brass hardware. The body having hand painted Art Nouveau detailing making this a a superb piece of Victorian shop history with wonderful decorative appeal. A small brass padlock the top lid is fitted which would stop customers from scooping their hands inside the machine. Quite rare to find these on the original fitted stands too like this one which is a nice touch making it ready to display without having to make something for it or try to wall mount it.
Perfect for any coffee lovers to add that antique charm to any kitchen or would make a great piece for a retail cafe, restaurant or pub setting.
