Victorian ladies dressing table perfume tantalus by E.Rimmel of London.
The House of Rimmel was founded by Eugène Rimmel as a perfumery in 1834 in Regent Street, London, England.
The Tantalus comes with the orinal key and working lock.
Turn the key to unlock the brass handle which flips down to one side. With the handle folded down the three hobnail cut square perfume bottles with faceted stoppers can be removed allowing access to your most expensive scents.
Eugène Rimmel was a French-born British perfumer and businessman, responsible for manufacturing and marketing some of the earliest commercially made cosmetics and world leading is still in business today.
Rimmel was so successful that he was granted 10 Royal Warrants from heads of state all over Europe, including Queen Victoria, for his perfumes and fragranced products.
