Antique Victorian Papier Mâche / Plaster Stick Stand in Owl Form / 19th Century
A late Victorian English stick stand in the form of an Owl.
Of particular high quality and beautifully hand painted in natural colours.
The paint has been covered in a lacquer / varnish material for protection. This varnish has obvious signs of ageing and flaking all over.
It is manufactured from a plaster / papier mâche material. The stand has visible powdery residue when wiping your hand over the unpainted and varnish surface to the inside.
A great item to add the antique charm to any home.
