Antique Tabletop Cricket Parlour Game in Original Box / Board / Toy c.1940

A charming vintage tabletop 'Parlour" cricket game, complete with its original box. This tabletop game captures the enduring popularity of cricket as a family pastime and reflects the simple, well-crafted toy design of the 20th century.

The box is a red colour with a green feature on the lid which contains wording 'Table Cricket Latest Indoor Game' and a picture of people playing the game. Inside the lid are the games instructions. The game includes the back net with metal clamps so this can easily be attached to a surface, miniature bat and stumps / wickets and bails. There is no ball.
An appealing piece for collectors of vintage board games, antique toys or cricket memorabilia, and equally well suited as a decorative display item in a study, games room or sports-themed interior.
