Antique Papier Mâché Methodist Church Missionary Collection Offering Box c.1950
A charming mid 20th century Methodist Church Missionary Society collection box, modelled in the form of a globe.
Produced for the Methodist Missionary Society, this offering box would have been used to collect charitable donations in support of overseas missions and community work.
The silver base of the box has red writing running along the bottom reading "Methodist Missionary Society". The globe atop this shows marked in red the areas the church is supporting and raising funds for. The slot at the top is where coins and notes would have been deposited.
The base has the original paper with information surrounding the nature of the collection box.
A great piece of history and ideal for collectors.
