Antique Original 1910s Peel-Conner Telephone Works Two Bar Wood Brass Wall Phone
An antique Peel-Conner Magneto Exchange Wall Telephone, dating from approximately 1910 to 1920.
Walnut framed case with brass hardware and original manufactures label to the front cover.
Peel-Conner Telephone Works was established in 1908 as the specialized telephone manufacturing subsidiary of Britain's General Electric Company (GEC).
By 1921, GEC moved all telephone production out of Salford to a larger facility in Coventry, and by 1923, the Peel-Conner name was completely absorbed directly into GEC so we know this example pre-dates 1923.
A great piece of history that will simply look great as a wall hung decorative piece for any interior or for a collector of telecoms equipment.
