Antique Oak Wooden Jewellery Box / Trinket Case / Canteen Storage Cabinet c.1900

A versatile storage wooden box with removable inner trays.

Originally used as a canteen / cutlery box, this piece has now been repurposed into a versatile storage box perfect for small collections, trinkets, jewellery and other small treasures and curios.

The outside of the box features brass carry handles on either side and a brass inlaid oval plaque on the lid. The plaque would have been added for the owner to have had their initials engraved onto, this example has remained blank.

Inside, the box is lined in a beautiful deep red velvet and has two removable, lift out trays. The trays offer ample organised storage and the lining prevents contents from sliding and moving excessively.

Perfect to sit countertop and hold treasured items and collections. Makes for a wonderful jewellery / trinket box.
