Antique Oak Framed Edinburgh Veterinary Medical Association Certificate c.1890

late Victorian framed certificate, issued by the Edinburgh Veterinary Medical Association in 1890 to W.P. Weston, commemorating his qualification as a veterinary surgeon following his studies at the well recognised Royal (Dick) Veterinary College.

Beautifully printed with ornate Victorian typography and decorative borders, the certificate is adorned with impressive heraldic coats of arms and showcases the original signatures of the Association's President, Vice-President and Secretary, making it an outstanding piece of veterinary and educational history.

The Royal (Dick) Veterinary College, founded in 1823, is one of the world's oldest and most respected veterinary schools and this certificate represents an important period in the development of professional veterinary medicine in Britain.

Presented in an oak frame, this piece would make a superb addition to a collection of medical, veterinary, university or Edinburgh related antiques, and would display beautifully in a home, office or veterinary practice.
