Antique Mid 20th Century Brown Leather Lloyds Bank Briefcase Bag With Key c1950
Mid 20th Century c.1950.
A vintage brown leather briefcase featuring a brass lock stamped "Lloyds Bank Limited". The carry bag has two buckled side straps, handle and come with the key & working lock.
The briefcase was likely used by the bank to securely transport confidential financial documents, deeds or books / papers with information on. Designed to withstand heavy daily use, the bag would have played a vital part in branch to branch courier mail and transporting before digital banking.
The bag would have also been used by branch managers or inspectors when travelling off site for business meetings.
A lovely item bursting with history. Usable again as a briefcase or display piece.
Also a good prop in a movie, theatre or show.
