This early 20th century set features finely crafted tiles which display the traditional suits of bamboo (sticks), circles (dots) and Chinese characters, along with winds, dragons and other standard game pieces.
The set is presented in its original wooden storage chest, fitted with brass hardware and a carrying handle. The case features multiple internal drawers for organised storage and typically a sliding front panel. The front of the panel has Chinese writing in a vibrant green colour.
A wonderful example of early 20th century Chinese craftsmanship and a highly collectable piece of gaming history, complete with the instruction and information booklets.
