A lovely antique needlework and sewing case pouch that would have been the ideal travel companion for ladies or used for at home haberdashery needs.
The exterior of the case is a lovely deep burgundy colour and has a brass clasp to secure it shut.
Once opened, the case reveals a tan interior with varying fittings to hold tools and equipments. The case is lined with sewing needles, knitting needles tools, coloured threads and other equipment.
The contents also include needle packets which read "John James & Sons" which was a world famous needle manufacturing hub based in Reddich, England.
A beautiful piece which would have been a treasured item of the time - now a lovely collectable item for anyone interested in 1900s antiques, haberdashery items or sewing memorabilia.
A nice piece to display in a craft room or for someone interested in sewing and crafting.
