An impressive large sized Antique Haberdashery Shop Counter Glass Dome Display Cabinet dating to circa 1910.
A beautiful and increasingly rare example of early 20th-century retail shop fitting. Originally used in a haberdashery or clothing store to display ribbons, handkerchiefs, ties, jewellery and other small wares.
This substantial and original cabinet perfectly captures the elegance and practicality of Edwardian retail displays.
Featuring a large glazed dome top, the cabinet was designed to showcase merchandise while protecting it from dust and handling. The generous display area, combined with its attractive proportions and period craftsmanship, creates a striking visual presence that makes it equally suitable as a display piece today. The campaign style brass handles to the rear can be used to open the back door for access. The back door still retains the original fitted mirror.
