Antique Kitchenalia Complete Set Deeko Vellum Sandwich Flags in Original Box

A complete set of Deeko Vellum Sandwich Flags, found in their original box.
The complete set of 18 flags are found in the original card box which has words printed on the top in a deep blue reading "Deeko Vellum Sandwich Flags Eighteen For One Shilling'.
The decorative sandwich flags would have likely been used in homes for party food and large gatherings or within a cafe / bakery to clearly label and display sandwiches that were being sold.
The flags are made from semi-translucent vellum attached to small wooden cocktail sticks. The flags are each labeled with gothic style writing and feature fillings such as lobster, chicken, beef, tongue, sardine, egg, cress, tomato, cucumber and more.
Stick are attached to the flags with a coloured wax, giving it stability and a pop of colour and character.
A lovely collectable item. Also a great kitchenalia item to add to home decor and vintage inspired interiors.
Dimensions: Box 12cm X 5cm // Flag length is 11.3cm
Condition: Good - Three flags are detached from the sticks (two stick present, one cocktail stick missing) - could easily be reattached if you have some melting wax. One flag has a small chopped off corner.
