Antique Hornby Toy "Racer III" No.3 & Speedboat Tinplate Meccano Toy c.1930

A vintage Hornby toy, wonderful for collectors of antique toys and games. The "Racer II" No.3 Speedboat features a cream coloured hull with red fittings and clear plastic windscreens. In working order, the propellers spin when the speedboats clockwork motor is wound up. The boat is then placed in water and races along, giving the user endless amounts of fun and entertainment. 

Presented in a box which would have originally held the No. 5 "Viking" toy , the lid is decorated with a coastal horizon and a gentleman within a speedboat racing away from the coastline into sea. The box is a deep red colour with pattern detailing and reads on the lid "Manufactured in England by MECCANO Limited Liverpool". On the end of the box is a sticker reading 'Hornby Speed Boat No.5 "Viking". 

Perfect for collectors of vintage toys, Hornby items or Meccano toys. Will look great displayed on a sideboard, shelf or cabinet with in a man cave, garage or games room. Would also look lovely in a coastal interior or shop.
