Antique High Quality Wooden Tabletop Oak Stationery Cabinet Writing Box c.1910

This beautiful antique writing box dates back to the early 1900s and is made out of high-quality solid oak.
The box displays in the most desirable aged patina and colour all over.
The correspondence box is fitted with a leather writing surface with gilded decoration of the highest order.
Four-compartment letter rack sits alongside three small drawers with brass pulls.
A further section of brass clips are fitted to the front of the letter rack to hold further paperwork.
Above the drawers, is a small section where the original milk glass writing panel is stored.
Two glass ink wells situated within a fold-out tray with hidden compartment to the bottom.
A pair of Art Nouveau style copper carry handles either side.
Come with key, working lock and a nice silk key tassel as pictured.
In general just a superb example of an antique writing slope, with eye-catching oak and copious medullary rays. As useful today as it was 100 years ago, this is a fine example of Edwardian travelling convenience.
