A lovely countertop ribbon or string dispenser and cutter which would have sat in a shop or haberdashery space used to tie parcels, purchases and other tasks.
The base is an off white metal which has wooden roll supports. The base has the makers mark (which as slightly faded in areas) but can be recognised as 'P.P. Payne's & Sons. Nottingham' which was a Nottingham based packaging and tape manufacturer founded in 1911.
The dispenser holds blue ribbon string which says the words "Priceless Products".
To the side is the ribbon cutter which would have provided ease of use.
A lovely collectors item to be displayed or to act as a piece of home decor in a craft room, hobby space or retail area. Also a great prop for any period shows or acts.
