Antique Greater Manchester Transport Bus Conductors Ticket Machine in Case

Mid to late 20th Century 

A collection featuring an original Greater Manchester bus conductors ticket machine, complete with its original storage box / cash waybill, instructions, leather strap, ticket rolls, change dispenser and specialty tickets such as school weekly tickets. 

The machine itself was a hand-operated device that was used by the mid 20th century on public transport, allowing conductors to print, date and register tickets and fares freely. 

The red case reads "Keep Out" on the exterior and has the makers mark inside which reads "Excelsior". The case is secured shut with a latch and would have originally had a lock to keep its contents secure. 

The collection has a wealth of social history and interest with the "scholar's pass tickets" and "School Weekly Ticket for 16 to 18 years of age" along with additional items to complete the collection. 

A highly collectable item or as a display piece in a hobby room, man cave or garage. A great item for anyone interested in transport memorabilia.
