Antique George Rowney & Co Of London Artists Watercolour Paint Block Box c.1870
A charming example of a mid Victorian artist watercolour box.
Manufactured by George Rowney & Co of 52 Rathbone Place, London.
The box is in general good order, retaining a good clear paper advertising sticker with a decorative holly border.

The box still retains many of the Victorian watercolour blocks.
Only a couple appear to have been partially used. Gamboge is missing and light red is in several pieces!
