Antique Early 20th Century Wooden Shoe Shop Fitting Stool / Shine Seat c.1920

An antique wooden shoe shiners still and foot rest or a shoe store fitting stool which would have offered a space for customers to comfortably fit and try shoes. Comprised of a leather upholstered, padded seat and textured door rest sloped pad. 

Designed for comfort and practicality, this stool would have been a common feature in shoe shops, department stores and cobblers. 

Sturdy design and a lovely aged patina throughout, this now makes a great interior piece or fitting. Would look wonderful in a porch / entrance hall for slipping shoes on and off or in a vintage style shoe shop or shoe repair shop. 

Also a good prop for shows and theatre performances.
