Antique Early 20th Century Tabletop Stand Mounted Stereo Viewer Stereoscope 1900
Founded by Hawley C. White and his two sons Harrie C. and Clarence W. White in 1870 in New York City to make stereoscopes. The company moved to North Bennington in 1874. The factory burned in 1887 and was speedily rebuilt; it was expanded in 1907. The two White sons worked as photographers and traveled the world taking pictures for stereographs. White also patented machines which automated most of his production line.
This obscure company apparently issues stereoviews around the year 1900. Although they credit B.L. Singley and seem to have had some kind of relationship with the Keystone View Company, this publisher of curved-mount stereoviews is exceedingly scarce.
