Antique Early 20th Century Pair of Copper Front & Wooden Military War Frames

An antique pair of copper fronted wooden frames, this lovely collectable item is full of character.

With hammered, textured effect throughout and stud work detailing, the aged patina of the copper creates a great utilitarian feel, complimenting the military theme. Both frames are filled with pictures of a gentleman wearing military uniform in a colourless photo.

The bottom of the frames have a Royal Artillery cap badge which features a revolving gun wheel motif and the motto "QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT" which translates to "Where right /duty and glory lead". It depicts a cannon crowned by a Kings crow which indicates the frames date to before the mid 20th century.

The copper front is mounted to a solid wood frame which gives the frames stability.

A great collectors piece to accompany other copper / metal items, military items or antique decor. Would look fantastic displayed in a cabinet, upon a sideboard or display.

Dimensions: 24.5cm x 17cm // Photo window fits 16.5 x 11.5

Condition: Nice order. One frame is lacking the back stand,
