Antique Double Sided Enamel Bus Stop Sign for Southdown Motor Services c1930s
A highly collectible enamel bus stop sign for Southdown Motor Services.
Southdown Motor Services is a historic coach and bus operator that served East and West Sussex and Hampshire from 1915 until its acquisition by the Stagecoach Group in the late 20th century.
The design features a green enamel ground with bold cream lettering making it eye-catching for maximum visibility.
Originally mounted at roadside bus stops with the fitted bracket flange, this double-sided sign would have been visible from both directions, serving as an essential piece of public transport.
A superb piece of British transport history, ideal for collectors of enamel signs, transport memorabilia or antique advertising. A great decor piece for any garage / man cave or as part of a growing or established collection of advertising pieces.
