The front features the iconic red “Electric Exchange” panel, framed with cast metal decorative mounts, a glazed instruction window, and original style fittings. The cabinet retains its rich oak front contrasted by a black-painted body, with aged patina, wear and surface marks consistent with genuine age and use. The coin entry, control knob and lower payout opening remain in place, enhancing its authenticity.
Designed as a chance-based gambling amusement machine, these examples were popular in arcades, fairs and public houses, making this a wonderful survivor of early coin-operated entertainment history. Users input their coin, turn the handle and watch as the dials spins. Once landed, users reference against the scoring panel to check if they had won. Winnings would be dispensed when another coin was placed in the machine and another turn was had.
Whether displayed as a collector’s item, statement decorative piece or for themed interiors, this machine is guaranteed to draw attention and conversation.
Perfect to add character to any interior, this machine is a must have in a garage, man cave, office or entertaining space.
