Painted on a Shorter & Sons 'Dragon & Flowers Jug'
Colley Shorter realised Clarice's work was far more in demand than the works coming out of the Shorter factory and instructed Clarice to paint over some of the shelf pottery they were struggling to sell.
Always love to see these examples and the total disregard to the jugs shape completely ignoring the moulded flowers & dragon.
