The unique piece dates from an original Victorian brass string dispenser.
The historic string box is decorated with intricate detailing and made of premium quality brass. it features all-over repousse decoration including a gargoyle's face recurring around its circumference.
The lid fits perfectly well with a hole in the top to dispense string and twine easily, the original scissors being at hand in their own integral sheath.
This string box is perfect for collectors of antique metalware and is a beautiful addition to any space.
