Antique Arts & Crafts Treen Oak Wood Masonic Collection Box Offering Bowl c.1920
A charming early 20th Century collection or ballet voting bowl.
This piece has a makers mark reading 'L SIMPSON & CO 56 YORK ROAD KINGS CROSS' which was a reputable Masonic jewellers located in London, operating during the early 20th century.
Originally would have likely have been used within a lodge setting for donations after a meeting.
It may also have been used as a ballot voting bowl.
This is a nice handled version allowing it to be very easily passed around.
A great collectors piece.
Always popular pieces to sit upon a sideboard for keys, lose change, etc. to be placed in.
