Early 20th Century 1930s

Highly collectable, this original Coronet Midget subminiature camera is in classic black Bakelite, complete with its original cardboard box.

Launched in 1934 by the Coronet Camera Company of Birmingham, England, this camera was marketed as the smallest camera in the world. It became a huge success throughout the 1930s and early 1940s as both a novelty and functional pocket camera.
Constructed from dark Bakelite and featuring an intricate gold and black 'Art Deco' faceplate on the front. Designed to use custom 16mm paper backed roll film, the camera captured 13x18mm negatives.
The camera body has a glossy finish, labelling and Art Deco charm and the box has a colourful design with orange and green tones along with the brands details, product information and logo illustrations.
