Antique Art Deco 1930s Oak Wooden Coal Box / Purdonium Case With Metal Tin Liner
Early 20th Century
A nice example of an Art Deco coal box / purdonium which features an oak outer case box and removable metal inner liner.
The oak box has a hinged lid and sits raised on feet, making it decorative and a nice home accent. The metal inner liner with side handles holds coal, wood and ash ensuring refilling the box is done with ease, while keeping the box clean.
Ideal for sitting fireside by a log burner or fireplace, the box is great for holding kindling, wood, coal or other fireplace accessories / cleaning products.
It offers versatile storage while being stylish and not overpowering in a room.
Would look great in a pub, restaurant or other hospitality setting next to an open fireplace or log burner.
