A decorative piece of vintage motoring memorabilia, this original Castrol garage sign is a fantastic example of mid-century workshop advertising.
Featuring the iconic Castrol branding across the top with “Lubrication Charts” text, the lower section has now been used as a chalkboard style notice board with wording: “DO YOUR TYRES LOOK LIKE THIS? FREE WINTER TYRE CHECK – PLEASE ASK AT RECEPTION,” complete with a bold yellow directional arrow.
Castrol, originally developed by the Wakefield Oil Company, became well recognised with early motoring and garage interior / materials, making original advertising pieces like this highly collectible today.
The piece would have originally had lubrication charts for different models but has now been converted to a decorative sign.
A great item for any collection of vintage advertising, motoring memorabilia or for adding character to a space such as a man cave, garage or workshop.

Condition: Good with typical age and use wear. Converted to a chalk board style sign but will need to be repainted with blackboard paint if you wanted to use it.
