Antique Advertising - Vari-Vend Wall Mounted Candy Bars Vending Machine c.1960

A highly collectible Vari-Vend wall mounted candy bar vending machine. Finished in its eye-catching original white blue, and red, this machine features period advertising reading "Nationally Known Candy Bars" and features graphics for Planters Jumbo Block Peanut Candy.
Designed for wall mounting, the machine was operated by inserting a 5 cent coin and turning the side knob to dispense a candy bar. The machine is currently working without the need to put a coin in.
The front graphics include the slogan "Enjoy Some Every Day" and the "when empty coin returns here" instructions. The vending machine would have been displayed in various public settings, encouraging and increasing the sales of the confectionery item.
Manufactured by the Vari-Vend Corporation of Los Angeles, California, this piece is an example of mid century commercial design. Its compact proportions and vibrant graphics make it an outstanding display item for collectors of advertising items, coin-operated machines and vintage shop fittings.
The front has the original working key that enables the front panel to be removed, giving access to the interior.
A lovely decorative items for a home interior, games room, man cave or within a retro inspired retail setting such as a sweet / confectionery store.

Condition: Nice vintage order. Displays well. The machine is functioning without the need / use of a coin. Im not too sure how it should work but looks like the inside is complete so might need some adjusting to get it back on use with a coin .
