Church's Alabastine Filler is a historic British brand of powdered filler, known today as Polycell Trade Alabastine Filler. Church's Alabastine Filler originates from the late 19th century when inventor Melvin B. Church created a powdered wall finish named "Alabastine" in New York. By the 1930s the Alabastine Company had established a strong international presence and the UK branch (Alabastine Co) famously operating from Ashmole Street in South Lambeth, London.
