Cook & Co was a Manchester-based company that produced ring travellers, which were small metal rings used in the cotton spinning industry during the 18th and 19th centuries. Ring travellers were essential components in ring spinning machines, used to keep the yarn taut during the spinning process.
The tin features Art Nouveau style graphics, including floral and angel imagery on vibrant green ground. These tins are now very collectable items and offer a glimpse into Manchester's industrial history.
