A charming piece of British advertising memorabilia that would have been displayed outside an AA-approved hotel, making it a highly collectible item for enthusiasts of automobilia, hospitality memorabilia, and vintage advertising.
The sign retains its period character and presents as a striking decorative piece whether displayed illuminated or unlit. Its classic design and historical association with the Automobile Association make it an excellent addition to a collection, home bar, garage, man cave, restaurant, hotel, or commercial display.
Condition: One side is in perfect order. The other side has a crack and so does the end panel. The metal frame in good order as is the hanging hook. The light has been tested and is in working order but it has not been PAT tested so will be sold without the plug. Highly recommend to get a professional electrician to test and fit a plug. There should be a locking pin for the hinged side that opens to allow access inside - This is missing is stays shut perfectly fine without the need for it.
