Antique Advertising - Mid 20th Century Nelson Tipped Cigarettes Tin Shop Sign
Mid 20th Century c.1950
An advertising sign for Nelson Tipped Cigarettes, featuring detailed imagery and the slogan "the TIPPED cigarette that really satisfies".
The imagery depicts an open packet of cigarette reading "Nelson Tipped - The Perfection of Tipped Cigarettes". The packet sits in front of Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square, London. Figures can be seen at the base along with other buildings.
The bottom right has small yellow text reading "Made by the makers of senior service", referencing the parent brand produced by Gallaher Ltd. Nelson Tipped Cigarettes were a prominent British mid century product that was promoted as a high quality, filter tipped cigarette.
An eye-catching and interesting sign, this would look great displayed in a vintage interior, man cave, garage or vintage inspired store.
A great collectors item for anyone interested in antique advertising, tobacco memorabilia and mid century items. Would look great displayed in a cabinet with other adverting pieces.
