Original Enamel Advertising Sign - Early 20th Century

A lovely advertising piece, this enamel sign is bursting with character and bold colours. The sign depicts a gentleman holding a pint of drink with a small map of Isle of Wight found in the bottom left corner. The sign is comprised of a red border, brown and cream colours and a lovely detailed pictorial image.
"MEW's is written in white along the top and "W.B.Mew, Langton & Co. Ltd." is written in brown along the bottom under the Isle of Wight map.
Mew's brewery was founded in Newport, Isle of Wight in the early 1800's and become a well recognised, international firm. It merged in 1965 and is celebrated today for its rich heritage and history.
Great piece - Perfect to add that antique charm to any home. Would look great in a pub, home bar or man cave.

Condition: Nice antique order with just a few areas of loss. Holes useable for hanging. Nice clean imagery.
