A nice example of an early 20th century large Hudson's Soap box that would have sat counter top in a local pharmacy or general store which stocked the soap.
The hinged lid opens to reveal a colourful advertising paper reading"Savon en poudre de Hudson" in yellow against the blue background. The background also has lighter blue pictorial images of people bathing and washing clothes with the soap with scrollwork and foliage detailing.
The base front has a matching advertising paper label while the side has an additional Hudson label written in French.
A nice piece for any collector - Always very popular interior design pieces. Ideal for a bathroom setting or shop display window set.
