Antique Advertising French Tabletop Haberdashery Cleo Mannequin Torso c.1930
Early 20th Century
A rare early 20th century French advertising mannequin torso from Changis-sur-Marne, dating to circa 1930, originally used in a haberdashery or draper’s shop for displaying garments and accessories.
This charming “Cleo” tabletop mannequin is draped in a vibrant blue fabric, making it a bold decorative piece. Its makers mark and location is marked along the bottom in black.
Its purpose built silhouette was created to showcase clothing or accessories in an attractive and natural way, adding to tabletop shop displays.
Now a highly desirable decorative object, this mannequin works beautifully as a statement piece in vintage inspired interiors, boutiques, studios or collector displays.
Its combination of original French provenance, aged charm, and vivid fabric finish makes it both historically interesting and visually striking. A genuine piece of early advertising history with strong decorative impact and timeless appeal.
Dimensions: Height 48.5cm x width 28cm
Condition: In good vintage original order. Would originally likely have been on a stand but sits tabletop just fine. Some areas of loss to blue fabric as to be expected for age and use.
