. This charming piece would have originally used in a cobblers or haberdashery shop for the storage and display of the Foxes boots and shoe laces.
The cabinet features a glass display top section with a selection of four drawers to the back. The cabinet shows signs of commercial use all over giving it a wonderful period character and strong visual appeal. Some of the drawers contains internal sectional dividers for storing & organising the contents.
The top glazed area would have been used to display the laces for sale with the drawers being used for spare stock.
Perfect as a collector’s item, display piece or functional storage, this cabinet would suit an antique interior retail space, boutique, studio or home interior with vintage or industrial styling.
I believe it has also been used as a pen display cabinet - There is an old Waterman's Fountain Pen label to the side too.
