Antique Advertising Fortnum & Mason Pair of French Ceramic Dishes Terrine c.1920
Early 20th Century - c.1920
A beautiful pair of antique French advertising ceramic terrine dishes, made by Simplex or the renowned Fortnum & Mason of London.
These cream-glazed earthenware pots feature finely printed labels reading “Terrine de Foies Gras aux Truffes du Périgord”, showcasing the luxurious products once supplied for Fortnum & Mason by Maison Georges Bruck, Strasbourg.
Maison Georges Bruck was founded in Strasbourg, France in 1852. The company is known for its traditional, high-quality foie gras.
Each dish retains its original printed lid, complete with decorative finial and rich typography highlighting the historic partnership between Fortnum & Mason and their French suppliers. The elegant form and authentic period graphics make this a rare and desirable example of early 20th-century culinary advertising ware.
