P. & P. Campbell's Perth Dye Works was a pioneering Scottish cleaning and dyeing company founded in 1814 in Perth, Scotland. Widely regarded as one of Britain's earliest large-scale dry-cleaning businesses, the firm built a strong reputation for the dyeing, cleaning, repairing, and remodelling of garments, household fabrics, curtains, and furs. Over the years, P. & P. Campbell became a well-known and trusted name throughout Scotland and beyond, earning recognition for its quality workmanship and innovative approach to textile care. Today, surviving advertising items from the company provide a fascinating glimpse into the history of Scotland's textile and cleaning industries.
The survival of the original timber frame adds significantly to its display appeal. You can just about make out the wording Trade Supplied on the frame.
