An original glass shop counter display jar featuring etched frosted advertising banner for Price's Toilet Soaps. 

Originally, this would have been used in general stores and chemists to advertise and hold the soap bars. Used to promote in a stylish way, this would have encouraged sales while offering a practical storage solution. 

The piece has its matching original bottom and lid, both have branded advertising to them. 

The soap sold was iconic and well recognised as it was celebrated for its purity and quality throughout the early 20th Century. The soap was developed through the by-product of their candle production. They used this by-product to create a premium, chemically pure hygiene products that was one of the first soaps to be long lasting too.
