A wonderful example of an early to mid 20th century enamel advertising sign.
A brightly coloured sign with a red background and contrasting light wording. Reads "Passengers must cross the line by the footbridge" indicating it would have likely been used in a train station directing passengers.
Great piece - Perfect to add that antique charm to any space. Would look great displayed with other advertising or railway item. Ideal for in a garage, man cave or to add unique character to a home.
To the rear is a manufactures stamp for Mead McLean & co of London - They were prolific railway sign makers during the early part of the 20th century.
